Episode two of this acclaimed documentary series “A Short, Sharp Shock” focuses on two contrasting cases – both sets of the accused have one thing in common – they’ve never before spent a night in a cell. A night on the town has gone wrong for two teenage girls who have been arrested after a fight has broken out in a night club in Luton. While the girls sleep off their excesses in the cells, another first timer is brought into custody – 61-year-old Charles Sutcliffe. Charles’s stint in custody is thanks to police calling at his house and deciding to arrest him in order to end an argument with his flatmate. The problem for the police is that he has a debilitating illness that makes him frail beyond his years.
