Anarchism in America

The subject of this movie is a colorful and provoking survey of anarchism in America. The film tries to banish popular misconceptions and find the movement’s historical development.

In film, the movement is investigated both as a foreign ideology that immigrants brought to America, and as a Native American philosophy originated from American traditions of individualism in 19 century.

The film attributes interviews with important personalities in anarchist history like Murray Boochkin and Karl Hess, rare archival footage, and live performance footage of the Dead Kennedy.
